Paul Kinane
Managing Director

Paul has a particularly broad knowledge of the Insurance Industry. This knowledge and indeed passion for the Insurance business was perhaps inherited from his late father Jerry Kinane, who in 1984 was president of The National Insurance Broker's Association (NIBA). Paul's first taste of the business goes back to 1975 when he worked for 'Castle Insurance Brokers'. In 1977 Paul formed 'Kinane Life and Investments Ltd'. In his capacity as Managing Director he ran this very productive company to coincide with his fathers existing general business 'Kinane Insurances Ltd'. During this time Paul became a member of 'The Life Insurance Association' and also qualified as a member of the 'MDRT' (Million Dollar Round Table), and attended his first meeting in New York in 1980. In that same year, Paul still full of enthusiasm, got the brain wave to add another string to his bow, and consequently formed 'Kinane Auctioneering Ltd'. This proved to be a great success, and is now run solely by his wife Jean.

From the mid 80's Paul developed a keen interest in The Mortgage Industry. In 1990 he and six of his colleagues got together and formed 'The Independent Mortgage Advisors Federation' otherwise known as 'IMAF'. This for the first time gave the consumer choice, but above all impartial advice relating to mortgages. Apart from being a founder member he became President of IMAF for five consecutive years. Given that he was the main instigator in forming this federation, he continued to remain on The Executive Council until 2007. During this time he brought 'The Service Excellence Awards' to the mortgage industry and also produced 'The IMAF Mortgage Magazine'. Paul is currently a Director of The Independent Mortgage Advisors Fereration.

Down through the years, Paul has also had a great allegiance to the IBA. He served on council for 4 years and was also chairman of the Dublin region. He took the position as Deputy President – Financial Services in 2009. Paul is currently President of the Irish Brokers Association (2010 - 2011). They are located at 87 Merrion Square, Dublin 2.

Paul is a Financial Adviser and a member of the LIA
